Services Provided

  • Ensure your system backup procedure is functioning correctly and complete a test restore to verify data integrity.
    There is little comfort in discovering that your backup doesn’t work just at the critical time that it is needed.
  • Ensure your Anti-Virus software is up-to-date and installed on all servers and PC’s.
    Anti-Virus software must be keep up-to-date to ensure you have the best protection possible against the ever-growing Virus treat.
  • Check and apply any Microsoft Service packs.
    Microsoft issue “services packs” to fix known bugs and to provide new features and enhancements. Keeping up to date with the latest service packs ensures that your server is less likely to fail because of operating system software bugs.
  • Check your network for security breaches and hackers.
    We will monitor “firewall” logs to ensure no unauthorised access was attempted from the outside world. We will also implement proper “password” controls to limit possible unauthorised access from inside your organisation by disgruntled or vindictive employees.

  • Check and apply any Microsoft security patches.
    Once Microsoft discovers a security weakness in any of its products they will issue an immediate security patch to fix the problem. These security patches can range from very low risk to extremely high risk, we will assess your vulnerability and apply the patch if necessary.
  • Monitor Server disk usage.
    Low disk space and running out of disk space completely is one of the most common causes of server/application failure. With the huge increase in the size of emails and databases, disk space monitoring is more and more critical. We will ensure your server will not fail unexpectedly due to low/no disk space.
  • Monitor server alert notifications and system logs.
    Most of today’s quality servers have diagnostic software running which constantly monitor the health of the server. All the main server components are checked to ensure they are operating within acceptable levels of tolerance. These include CPU temperatures, fan and disk speeds and ram error checks. We will check these statistics and advise on possible component replacement before actual failures occur.

This service can be tailored to match your exact requirements and may include all or some of the items above or any other item that you deem to be critical. Typically, on-site visits would be once a quarter and remote access would be weekly or on automatic alert notification.
